Henderson Music Reviews

I purchased a keyboard online, sight unseen and am extremely happy with my purchase! Brian and Gerardo were excellent to work with and I highly recommend Henderson Music! They've been in business a long time which says something about the integrity of the folks there. 100% satisfied!

Check this out... I bought a piano off the Internet from this store, sight unseen (GULP!), and it was one of the best purchases I have ever made in my life. They delivered it to Cincinnati and humongous men delivered it to my home and easily set it into place. I jam on this thing on the regular and I am so pleased with the outcome. I was stuck for years thinking what Henderson Music sold to me was not possible. I was lost between a 'free piano' which I am terrified of for good reason, and a new piano which is far beyond my budget. Again, this was one of the best purchases of my life and I am very grateful for the value I received! If you want a piano, freakin' do it!

Years ago, I bought my family a Yamaha entry-level electric keyboard. My 7-year-old daughter’s joy was unforgettable: “I didn’t even know I wanted this so much!” We played it so much that we quickly outgrew it. I explored getting an acoustic piano but faced three challenges: 1) We needed a real piano, 2) Free pianos were everywhere, but I knew I couldn't detect a huge problem, and 3) Good pianos cost as much as a reliable used car. Frustrated, I sidelined my love for piano. The basic keyboard was teaching us bad habits, and my annual searches only led to electronic pianos I could afford I didn’t want or costly acoustic ones. Free or cheap pianos risked hidden issues I couldn’t spot. One day, in a brief moment at work where nothing was going on, I explained my dilemma to Grok, 'Twitter's' AI. It pointed me to Henderson Music, where I found a fantastic Yamaha M-500 acoustic piano. I bought it sight unseen, and now, three months later, my family plays it multiple times a day, exploring new musical interests and performing for each other. Henderson Music solved my problem perfectly, delivering unexpected value for the price. I couldn’t be happier and I am so grateful for their help! Thank you! I am a huge fan!!!

My wife and I purchased a digital piano here 3/4/25. Brian was very responsive to my questions by text, even those sent after hours. He offered me a great deal, and has lots of options with cash price discounts. Brian is friendly and helpful, but relaxed enough to let us try the instrument we were interested in until we were settled. Would certainly return for another piano as needs for home or church arise.

Gio is an absolute gem to work with. Kind, straightforward, and he knows his stuff. Highly recommended.

I called inquiring about an old piano that I was trying to sell. Gio had nothing to gain as they were rightfully not interested in buying the piano, but he was extremely helpful, friendly and even referred me to a piano mover.

Fantastic service and wonderful people. Mike in the Lexington location is truly a professional with your best interest in mind. If you are searching for a piano look no further. He helped me find a piano in my budget that is in great shape and sounds amazing. I came into the shop one day after work on a Friday and Mike talked to me about what to look for in a good instrument, how to take care of it, and gave me great advice in regards to all my questions. He didn’t push any products on me and was easy to talk to, told me if he could find what I was looking for he would give me a call. On Sunday he gave me a call, having found a fantastic Young Chang instrument for a perfect price and in great condition and I bought the instrument with absolutely no regrets. From setting me up with a reputable mover, offering a free tuning, and absolute flexibility with pickup, he truly went above and beyond and I can honestly say have met few people as kind in the music industry. Don’t let Willis music fool you with their perks, Henderson offers everything they do and more for a better price. One of the best businesses I have dealt with in Lexington period. I know pianos are not “frequent” purchases but they will be my piano shop for life.

I bought a refurbished Yamaha grand piano at a very nice price from Henderson. The delivery was timely and easy. Bob, the salesperson, was very knowledgeable and helpful. I am extraordinarily pleased with this piano.

Wow, what an experience. The Cincinnati location was fantastic. They never once tried to “sell” me anything. Brian, the gentleman who works in the store, prioritized my having the correct piano above everything else. The owner dealt fairly and generously. This was the best major purchase experience I have ever had. Not hyperbole.

When it comes to customer service and quality products, you won't find any better than those at Henderson Music in Lexington. I am impressed by the level of service and assistance from this company. They truly go out of their way and beyond the call of duty to help customers.
